Obituary for Thomas Aimone
Thomas Bernard Aimone, 71, of Pekin passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at UnityPoint Health - Methodist in Peoria.
Tom was born September 19, 1946, in Pekin to Bruno and Lillian (Osterman) Aimone. His parents and two brothers, Michael A. Aimone and Stephen L. Aimone, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his son, Matthew T. (Dawn) Aimone; two grandchildren, Whitney Stivers and Gabriel Aimone, all of Rock Island, Illinois; two sisters, Eleanor (Spero) Margaris of Tampa, FL and Janice Aimone of Hollyhill, SC; three nephews, Jon (Angie) Margaris of Peoria, Tony (Annie Brinkman) Aimone of Chicago, and Beau Heilman of Pekin; two nieces, Theresa Margaris of Tampa, FL and Christy (Todd) Hayes of Peoria, and his great-nieces and great-nephew, Alexandra (Ryan) Widmer and Grace Harris of Peoria, Isabella Aimone and Bruno Aimone of Chicago.
Above everything else, Tom loved spending time with his family. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin, where military rites will be accorded. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. at his favorite haunt, The Hole in the Wall Saloon in Pekin. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
