Obituary for Thomas Kemper
Thomas J. Kemper, 80, of South Pekin passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born October 26, 1937 to George and Ellen Kemper in Winchester. His is survived by his wife, Beverly Grazier Kemper; son, Tom B. Kemper; brother, Jack (Carol) Kemper; grandson, Gary Grazier, Jr.; granddaughter, Jennifer Harkness and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Gary Grazier, Sr.; brothers, Bob, Louis, Bill, Dewey and sister, Margaret. Tom served in the U.S. Army and worked at Caterpillar for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, being outside at his campsite and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where a funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin with military honors.
