Alice L. Shaw 83, of Pekin passed away on Friday August 28, 2009 at Pekin Manor. She was born December 15, 1925 to William H. and Emilyvee (Schrader) Daley in Davenport, IA. She married
Arthur B. Shaw May 16, 1943 in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death February 28, 1999. She was also preceded by her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Alice is survived by her 2 daughters; Barbara (Samuel) Frazier of St. Louis, MO, Deena (Garold) Burkholder of Pekin and 1 son Monty (Julie) Shaw of Duluth, GA. She worked for Unclaimed Freight as a bookkeeper retiring in 1987, she also worked for DA Discount and Green Tree Real Estate. Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service will be held September 25, 2009 at 1p.m. at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
