Obituary for Alice Reed
Alice L. Reed 91, of Metamora formerly of Washington and Peoria passed away on Friday December 28, 2012 at Snider Village. Born in Mason, OK on July 14, 1921 to Orva and Bertha Hunley Marler. She married Arthur A. Reed in 1948 in Peoria. He survives along with her children: Stephen A. Reed of Washington, Leellyn (Jim) Dennis of Metamora and Jeffrey A. Reed of Lincoln, brothers: Robert and Troy Marler of Okemah, OK, Arlene Hicks of Salt Lake City, UT and her grandchildren: Brain, Ben, Jodie, Austin, Dan, Cara and Christopher (Liz) Reed. Her parents, sisters Nola Mae Casey, Helen Snow and brother R.L. Marler preceded her in death. Alice and her husband Arthur were married for 64 years and she worked as an Arranger at the Sheridan Village Bergners for 20 years. Cremation will be accorded and a service will be held today Jan 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the New Hope Community Church in Metamora. Pastor Rod Schertz will officiate.
