Obituary for Alma Dalcher
Alma B. Dalcher 85, of Pekin passed away on Thursday August 2, 2012 at her residence. Born in Staunton, IL on November 3, 1926 to Tony and Bertha Spagnola. She married Lester E. Dalcher in Livingston, IL on August 17, 1946, he preceded her in death on January 24, 1985. Her parents and brother Spaga Spagnola also preceded her in death. She is survived by her sisters: Ardellia Semanek of Staunton, Dena Seganfredo of Livingston, brother-in-law Calvin (Mary) Dalcher and sister-in-law Etta Dalcher both of Pekin, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her caregivers: Mary Ann Ladendorf, Bob and Pam Dalcher, Sue and Steve McLoughlin, Carolyn Genczo and Patti Kostabin.  Alma is a retired Caterpillar Executive Secretary, a member of the Pekin Hospital League and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. She loved gardening and animals, was very supportive of many charitable organizations and had a great love for her family and her church. A funeral mass will be held for her on Tuesday August 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father James Pankiewicz will officiate with burial at Sand Parie Lutheran Cemetery. Josh Dalcher, John McLoughlin, Matthew McLoughlin, Aaron Siltman, Brad Nauman and Justin Reeise will be serving as Pallbearers. Visitation will be held at Abts Mortuary from 9 to 10:30 Tuesday. Memorials may be made in her name to the St. Joseph Church Stair Fund, Hospice Compassus or the WWII Honor Flight.
