Obituary for Andrew J Thomas
Andrew J. Thomas 76, of Pekin passed away on Friday June 30th 2017 at Morton Terrace Nursing Home in Morton. Born in Peoria on October 17, 1940 to Andrew and Isabelle Reid Thomas. He married Peggy LaFeevers in Peoria on August 9, 1973, she survives. Also surviving are his sons: Andrew (Heather) Thomas, Matthew (Trula) Thomas, sisters: Annette Rech and Carleve Huston, grandchildren: Payton Michael Thomas, Jackson Reid Thomas, step grandchildren: Amanda Bouchez, Christopher and Eric Femmer. He also was a uncle of many, and friend of many. His parents preceded him in death. He worked as a steelworker at Keystone, retiring in June of 1997 and loved cars, fishing, hunting and motorcycles. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 22nd from 2 to 5 p.m. at Mickie’s Pizzeria 1051 E. Washington St. East Peoria. Memorials may be made in his name to the Pekin Fire Department.
