“Arnie” L. Edwards, 50, of Germantown Hills passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria after battling Lymphoma. He was born August 19, 1964 to David and Patricia Natress Christensen. He married Laura Batts July 7, 2007 in Peoria, she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Christensen of Utah; daughter, Kayleigh (fiancée, David Bailess) Edwards of Utah; step-daughter, Kayla Siefferman of Germantown Hills; step son, Perry (fiancée, Arissa Lee) Siefferman of Eureka; beloved pet, Wally; grandchildren, Autumn, Ryvan, Ashton Siefferman; sister, Holly Meckley of Utah; brother, David (Tammy) Christenson of Oklahoma; sister, Krista (Devin Brown) Riley of Utah and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Arnie served in the U.S. Navy and worked for Kroeschell Operations Inc. He was co-owner of Hillside Kleaners in Germantown Hills. He served as a trustee on the Village Board of Germantown Hills, member of the Germantown Hills Chamber of Commerce and MABA. He loved his community and was a supporter of local business. The family would like to express appreciation to the community, family, friends, the staff at 1700 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Illinois Cancer Care and OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for the support and care given to Arnie and our family during this very difficult time. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Great Oaks Community Church in Germantown Hills. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a benefit account at Heartland Bank and Trust Company, Arnold Edward Memorial Fund.
