Obituary for Arthur E. Valli
Arthur E. “Art” Valli 81, of Pekin passed away on Friday October 29, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Pekin on May 22, 1928 to Angelo and Henrietta Belloni Valli. He is survived by his nephew Charles (Norma) Mariuzza, niece Sharon Antonini both of Pekin, great nieces and nephews: Belinda Grandy, Teresa Belcher and Jay Cole Mariuzza all of Pekin, Charles David Mariuzza of Germany, Dr. Jerry Antonini of Normal, Jennifer Antonini of Peru, goddaughter Mary Beth Martin of California and his cat and constant companion “Bella”. His parents, sisters Edith Antonini and Amanda Mariuzza, brothers Dominic and Armando and nephews Richard Mariuzza and Jerry Antonini preceded him in death. Art worked at Caterpillar for 27 years retiring in 1992 was a member of AARP, was a 3rd and 4

degree member of the Knights of Columbus where he was Bingo Coordinator for over 10 years and loved working the weekly Bingo games, was a former Jaycee and was a greeter for the American Red Cross. He also was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where a mass will be held on Tuesday November 3

at 10 a.m. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate, Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Visitation will also be at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Catholic Church or the American Heart Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Abts Mortuary.
