Obituary for Barbara Gall
Barbara Jeanne Gall, 63, of Morton, IL, passed away at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL, on Sunday, May 8th, 2016, after a sudden illness. She was born on July 28th, 1952 to Frances Louise and Pearl William Dowers in Danville, IL. She married William Scott Gall on May 28th, 1973, in Danville, IL. Barbara was a highly dedicated wife and mother known for her selfless generosity. She was always there for those who needed her. Barbara had a variety of interests, including gardening, antiques, and book club. Her favorite activity by far was cooking, and she loved preparing elaborate meals for her family and friends as well as trying new recipes. She is survived by her husband Bill, of Morton, IL; son Allen, of Vernon Hills, IL; brother Jim (Sandy) Dowers of Fairmount, IL; sister Sharon Houpt (Bill) of Danville IL; nephews Danny Hall of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Ben Dowers of Fairmount, IL; nieces Sarah Hall (Chris Harpst) of Seymour, IL, and Rachel Hall of Syracuse, New York. A celebration of life event will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to: Peoria Rescue Mission, United Network for Organ Sharing, or National Kidney Foundation.
