Obituary for Bernard Crandall
Bernard E. Crandall, 76, of Bartonville, IL passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at his residence. He was born November 15, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Bernard and Julia Clay Crandall. He married Laurie Ott September 29, 1956 in Chicago, IL. She survives along with his sons, David (Linda) Crandall of Morton, IL, Mark (Kim) Crandall of Morton, IL; daughter, Lisa Crandall of San Jose, CA; grandchildren, Christina, Michael, Zachary, Nicholas, Bryce, Jennifer, Rocky, Wesley, Steven, Daniel and sisters, Carole Robinson of Lombard, IL and Eva (Donald) Barnas of Benton, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bernard served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a dispatcher and Terminal Manager for various trucking companies. He was active in the Shrine and a member of three clubs, past Secretary of T&T Club, Legion of Honor and Greater Peoria Club. He was also the past Secretary of Teamster’s Retiree Club. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Friday, May 17, at the Mohammed Temple 4201 S. Industry Drive in Bartonville at 5:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital in his name.
