Obituary for Betty Braden
Betty C. Braden, 79, of Farmington passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Farmington Country Manor. She was born November 6, 1934 in Lewistown to Carl and Ethel Andre Braden. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gerald Braden, Jerry Braden and sister, Vivian Eilene Croy. She is survived by her brother, Larry (Maureen) Braden of Mapleton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Betty was a great baseball player when she was younger. She loved to play blackjack. She worked at Laidlaw Wire Co. in Bartonville and was a Real Estate broker in California where she also owned and operated the Purple Squirrel Boutique. She lived in California for 50 years before coming back here to live in December 2010. Cremation has been accorded and a private service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in her name.
