Obituary for Betty Hogan
Betty J. (Abel) Hogan, 86, of Peoria, Illinois passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Unity Point Health-Methodist in Peoria, Illinois. Betty Jane was born April 7, 1927 in Peoria to Myra (Dillon) and Albert Abel. She married Thomas “Wayne” Hogan in 1948. She is survived by one son, Tom (Carla) Hogan of Dunlap; two daughters, Pat (Rich) Rodde of Tower, Minnesota and Cyndie Hogan of Peoria; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Abel and Delores (Jack) Curtis all of Peoria and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, two nephews and a great-nephew. She graduated from Manual High School in 1945. Per her wishes the family will be having a celebration of her life Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Itoo Hall on Farmington Road in Peoria, Illinois.
