Obituary for Bobby Head
Bobby L. Head, 70, of Pekin passed away on Saturday February 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born July 30, 1941 in Colbert County, AL to Lloyd and Lilly Mae Clark Head. He married Ann Winter in Tuscumbia, AL on December 30, 1962. He is survived by his wife Ann; sons, Dale (Christi) Head of Scottsboro, AL, Ronnie (Karleen) Head and Duane (Rhonda) Head both of Pekin, Randy Head of Green Valley; daughter, Alisha (Chad McGinnis) Head of Mackinaw; grandchildren, Branden, Bradley, Ciji, Shea, Zachary, Jared, Huston, Maison, Colin, Connor, Megan, Shane, Rachall and Drake; great-grandchild, Tierra; twin brother, Billy (Margaret) Head, Illinois; sister, Barbra Head, Alabama and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Delmar Head. Bobby served in the Army and worked as a Maintenance Welder for Caterpillar for 37 ½ years, retiring in 1988. He loved horseback riding, deer hunting and fishing. He became a Mason in Pekin Masonic Lodge #29 and then Empire Masonic Lodge #126 in Pekin, he was a 39 year member, he was also a member of Town and Country Baptist Church where his funeral service will be held on Thursday March 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. Rev. Tim Ellison will officiate. Burial will follow with military rites by Spring Bay American Legion Post #1115 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Visitation will be at Abts Mortuary on Wednesday February 29, 2012 from 5 to 7p.m. with Masonic services at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to his church.
