Obituary for Bonnie Haley
Bonnie Mae Haley, 97, of Eureka, IL passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Advocate Eureka Hospital in Eureka, IL. She was born August 11, 1916 in Buda, IL to John Henry and Ethel Maude Stone Johnson. She married George Gordon Haley January 29, 1943 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death August 26, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her sons, Gary Haley of El Cajon, CA, Greg (Jane) Haley of East Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Greg (Hildagarten) Haley of Anthony, NM, Patrick Haley of Washington, IL; step-grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Binegar of Washington, IL, Matthew (Mandy) Moeller of East Peoria, IL, Melissa (Tony) Kertz of Washington, IL; eight step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Bonnie graduated from Buda High School and Browns Business College. She worked as a Comptometer Operator for Armours Co. in Chicago and Peoria from 1942 to 1946. She was a member of Eastern Star and Congregational Church. She was always doing things for other people and she loved dogs. Cremation has been accorded and private family graveside services at Hopeland Cemetery in Buda, IL will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Advocate Eureka Hospital in Eureka, IL in her name. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Techs for their compassionate care.
