Obituary for Carol Jean Turk
Carol Jean Turk, 77, of Pekin passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Pekin Manor. She was born April 28, 1939 in Canton to Edward and Iva Deal Snyder. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Debra Edwards; sons, Patrick Lewis Edwards, Kirk Eugene Edwards; father; mother; step-father, Robert Mounts and step-brother, Bobby Mounts. She is survived by her son, Daniel Turk of Peoria; sister, Patsy (Jim) Wyatt of Creve Coeur; brother, Billy Snyder of Las Vegas, NV; step-sisters, Sharon Gilbert of Peoria, Mary Anne Mounts of East Peoria; step-brother, Kenneth Mounts of Creve Coeur; granddaughter, Stacy Edwards of East Peoria and great-grandson, Kody Edwards of East Peoria. Carol worked at Plaza Tire Company until she retired in April 2004. She was an avid reader and a huge Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan. Per her wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her name.
