Obituary for Carol S Braden
Carol S. Braden 72, of Peoria passed away Sunday July 26, 2015 at Heartland of Peoria. Born in Peoria to Lester and Evelyn Gentry Harris on December 2, 1942, she married Jerry Braden on December 4, 1960. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2013. Her parents and sisters Lois Harris and LaVona Harris Gazza also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: Douglas (Kathy) Braden, Kimberly (Jason) Higdon and Nickolas (Priscilla) Braden all of Peoria, sister Melody (Mike) Parmenter of Bartonville, grandchildren: A’Livia, Dalton, Jacob, Jade, Kyle, Jeremiah and Caleb, great granddaughter, Hailey Grace and several nieces and nephews. Carol worked as a Bookkeeper for many years, was a Teacher Assistant for Illini Bluffs school District, waitressed at Marshalls and was owner of Braden’s Pottstown Pub with her husband.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Friday July 31, at 6 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1704 S. East Lane, Peoria. Memorials may be made to Breathe with Purpose Cancer Fund-Raising Group at Rebrand Credit Union.
