Obituary for Charles Gillett
Charles “Dick” Richard Gillett, 81, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born September 14, 1934 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Charles and Mathilde Goeldner Gillett. He married Pat Addison and later married Darlene Gronke. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Heidi Hutson of Orange Beach, AL; children, Linda (Ivan) Sholl, Ginny (Gene) Bowers, Dave (Traci) Gillett, Connie ( Kevin) Dowds; step-children, Bonnie Caldwell, Stacy Zimmerman, Scott Gronke and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Dick was a graduate of Bradley University. He worked as Sr. Vice President and Trust Officer for First National Bank in Peoria and retired from Chase Bank in Texas. He loved to spend the winter months with his sister in Orange Beach, AL. He enjoyed golfing and watching NFL football. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the ITOO Hall on Farmington Rd in Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in his name.
