Obituary for Charles Reed
Charles “Chuck” A. Reed, 95, of Putnam, IL died Thur. Feb. 28, 2013 in Peoria, IL. He was born Oct. 16, 1917 to Arthur and Elsie Reed. He married Anita Schoolman on Apr. 18, 1963. He was preceeded in death by both parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and daughter Diana Reed. He is survived by his wife Anita, daughter Joann Reed of McNabb, daughter Brenda Reed of N. Pekin, son Charles (Mariola) Reed of Henry, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a munitions driver. He was a retired sub-deacon at the New Apostolic Church in Peoria. There will be a brief memorial service at noon on Sun. Mar. 10 followed by an open house till 3pm at the New Apostolic Church, 5341 N. Sheridan (across from Proctor entrance). Memorials by be directed to his wife or his church.
