Obituary for Christina Gibbons
Christina Lynn (Butterfield) Gibbons, 53, of Peoria passed away after a courageous battle Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 6:10 a.m. surrounded by her family in Kingston Mines. She was born March 5, 1961 in Pekin the daughter of Jack and Martha (Anderson) Butterfield. She worked at Mooney’s Pub and as a housekeeper until January 2013. She loved her family, friends and her beloved dog, Havoc. She also loved camping, fishing, gardening and riding motorcycles. She is survived by her mother, Martha Butterfield of Kingston Mines; brother, Michael Butterfield of Kingston Mines; sister, Cheryl (Joe) Knox of Creve Coeur; daughters, Misty (Butterfield) (Curt) Humes of Glasford, April (Butterfield) (Rod) Robley of Peoria; son, Jeremy Zortman of Peoria; grandbabies, Shelby and Blake Humes, Chelsea Zortman, Jackson Robley and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Butterfield. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Kingston Mines Cemetery at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cancer Research in her name.
