Obituary for Claire Marie Parrott
Claire Marie Parrott 86, of Pekin passed away on Wednesday January 28, 2009 at her residence. Born in Springfield, MA on January 14, 1923 to Philias and Dora Roberts Gaboury. She married Billy Parrott in Greensboro, NC on October 3, 1944, he survives along with her son Raleigh W. (Linda) Parrott and her grandson Raleigh both of Pekin. 4 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death. Claire worked for Stevens-Savage Arms Co. as a Inspector of the Springfield Rifle and also worked for the British as a Inspector of the Lee-Enfield Rifle when in Massachusetts and worked for Block & Kuhl/Bergners here until she retired. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to her church. Abts Mortuary has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
