Obituary for Clara Louise Rotherham
Clara Louise (Jones) Rotherham, 62, of Pekin, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her home. She was born January 13, 1954 to Clara Louise (Watkins) Jones and Herbert Larue Jones, Sr. Surviving are her husband, Robert Rotherham 4-7-72 to 5-2-90/4-11-02-present, Steve Jolly 1990-2000; five children, Jill (Tim) Sitter, Robert (Becky Voss) Rotherham, Jr., David (Andria) Rotherham, Kevin (Ashley Neding) Rotherham, Jennifer (Dustin Dringenberg) Rotherham; fourteen grandchildren, Brendyn (Makayla Diegel) Hanson, Kortney, Kobie, Sammy, Sierra, Konner, Aidan, Kylie, Spencer, Brooke, Hannah, Sydney, Kain, Claire; one great-grandchild, Kadyn; three brothers, Herbert L. Jones, Jr., Gary A. (Judy) Jones and Ladon Jones as well as many beloved nieces and nephews whom she considered her own children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Judith K. Powell, and her brothers, Rodger L. Jones, Sr. and Terry W. Jones. Clara worked for many years at Mr. K’s/Schnucks where she was a union steward and made representing her fellow employees her personal mission. She found great pleasure in getting to know the many customers who went through her lane. Clara most loved spending time with her grandkids. Everyone she ever met, Clara treated as part of her family. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, February 2 at 10 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pekin, IL. A visitation will be held Monday, February 1 from 5-7 pm at Abts Mortuary in Pekin, IL. A funeral luncheon will be held at Pekin First Christian Church immediately following the mass.
