Clyde K. Culp, 88, of Pekin passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Pekin Manor.
He was born September 1, 1933, in Sawyerville, to Thomas and Clovia Lazenby Culp.
He married Leona M. Gulley December 10, 1955, in Valier; she preceded him in death May 11, 2010. His parents; sisters, Gladys Culp, Wilma Haney and brother, Al Culp also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Julie (David) Hess, Keith (Janine) Culp, Matthew (Becky) Culp; grandchildren, Mandy (D.J.) Gunderson, Chad (Nichole) Culp, Ryan Hess, Cody (Reba) Hess, Katelyn Culp, Nicholas Culp, Maddie Culp, Aubree Culp; great-grandchildren, Gavin Thomas, Cameron Gunderson, Jaxon Gunderson, Benjamin Gunderson and sister, Thelma Elvers.
Clyde served in the U.S. Army and retired from Caterpillar after 40 years.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Chicago Bears fan. Clyde enjoyed watching all sports but most importantly watching his grandkids playing sports. He loved numbers. Clyde would be the first one to help anyone in need.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 7 p.m. with a memorial visitation two hours prior at Abts Mortuary in Pekin.
