Obituary for Curtis Olson
Curtis F. Olson, 81, of Glasford, IL passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born October 30, 1933 in Hayward, WI to Swan and Kathryn Olson. He married Mary O’Hare, she survives along with his son, Michael (Linda) Olson of Urbana, IL; daughter, Kimberly (Gene) Damm of Plainfield, IL; grandsons, Brian (Shawna), Shawn, Jonathan; sister, Florine Stewart of Salt Lake City, UT and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Curtis served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Caterpillar retiring in 1982. After retiring from Caterpillar he drove a school bus for Glasford School District 327. He loved the outdoors, gardening, hunting and fishing. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to St. Jude or Humane Society of Fulton County in Canton, IL in his name.
