Obituary for Cynthia Counterman
Cynthia J. Counterman, 63, of Pekin passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at her home. She was born in Pekin to Harold and Bessie Fahnders Ramsey on August 10, 1952. She is survived by her father of Pekin; children, Angela Grant, Eric Counterman and Sue Wolfe; grandchildren, Grant, Ravyn, Jordan, Quinn, Annabelle, Hailee and Ericca; great grandchild, Rex; sister, Sheila (Gary) Schumm all of Pekin; brothers, Dan (Sharon) Ramsey of Pekin, Kenneth Ramsey of East Peoria and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Her mother and brother, Harold E. Ramsey preceded her in death. Cynthia owned Cindy’s Critters Daycare in Pekin for 40 years, retiring in 2015. She loved her family and will be truly missed. Visitation will be held at Abts Mortuary on Friday March 11th from 5 to 7 p.m. with a private burial at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
