Obituary for Danny Schutte
Danny D. Schutte, 71, of Glasford passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born May 24, 1944 in Peoria to Alvin and Alice Orr Schutte. He married Rita Huff December 13, 1970. She survives, also surviving are his daughters, Michele Knott, Heather White, April (John) Spigelmyer, Danielle Schutte; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Terry (Becky) Schutte; sister, Julie Ewing and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy; son-in-law, Kent White and great-granddaughter, Mara. Danny served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He later joined the 182nd Illinois Air National Guard, from which he retired in 2004. He also retired as a Supervisor for the State of Illinois in 2004. He was a private pilot and an avid golfer. He was a member of the Lancaster Masonic Lodge #0106 AF & AM in Glasford, Moose Lodge 1571 in Farmington and American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville. Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society in his name.
