Obituary for Darrell Maple Sr.
Darrell “Old Man” Gene Maple Sr., 78, of Washington passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 1, 1937 in Peoria to Charles and Lottie Sailor Maple. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Raymond and Robert Maple and sister, Virginia Maple. He is survived by is children, Darrell Maple, Raymond Maple, Juanita Rapp, April Maple and Ellen Maple all of Peoria and Bobby Maple of New Mexico; 19 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and 1 on the way. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Barb and Joe Bolander, for being his care givers and their home to live with them. Also a special thank you to Kathy and Ralph Maple, Hospice Nurse Jill and Pastor Steve. Darrell served in the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver. Cremation has been accorded, a memorial service was held.
