Obituary for David Cochenour
David E. Cochenour, 67, of East Peoria passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born November 10, 1945 in St. John, KS. He married Diana Clark in 1969. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Sherry Crackel and his granddaughter that was his pride and joy and the light of his life, Talia Crackel and several nieces and nephews. He was in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1971 serving in Vietnam for 16 months with the 25th Infantry in the 11th Artillery Division. He retired from Caterpillar with 45 years of service in 2009. He was a member of Illini Lunker Hunters Bass Fishing Club for several years, an avid NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt) fan, as well as the Chicago Bears. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
