Obituary for David Merrick
David C. Merrick, 77, of Peoria, IL passed away on May 15, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. David was born on October 31, 1938 in Athens, OH to Dan and Esther Merrick. He leaves his wife, Diana of Peoria, IL; children, Kimberly Moore of Lakeland, FL, Shelly (Steve) Moore of Brownsburg, IN and step children, Sean (Jennifer) Murray of Germantown Hills, IL and Amy (Chance) Barlow of Dunlap, IL. He is also survived by his brother, Dan (Marie) Merrick of Reynoldsburg, OH and six loving grandchildren, Garrett and Carter Moore, Kylynn, Ryan and Keira Murray and Ace Barlow. David was a retiree of the State of North Carolina and had recently moved back to the Peoria area to be closer to family. He was a Navy Veteran and regularly attended Grace Presbyterian Church. Cremation has been accorded and private services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
