Obituary for David P. Dieckow
David P. Dieckow, 67, of Bartonville passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born April 9, 1949 in Peoria to Paul and Wanda Brown Dieckow. He married Frances Hoffman; she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Thomas (Tonya) Dieckow of West Peoria, Dale (Jennifer) Dieckow of Peoria; grandchildren, Dalton, Breana, Tyler, Brian, Shelby, Brooklyn, Brandon, Dylan, Andrew, Alex; great-grandchildren, Paige, Kain, Tinley, Willow, Degan, Elli; brothers, Larry Dieckow of Bartonville, Rob (Karla) Dieckow of Bartonville and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Kelsie. David worked for Foster’s Auto Service in Bartonville for 20 years. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Bartonville. He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, hunting, spending time with friends and most of all spending time at Cabin Fever in Victoria. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the VFW in Bartonville from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Children’s Hospital of Illinois, Lung Cancer Foundation of America or American Bladder Cancer Society in his name.
