Obituary for David Schleich
David B. Schleich, 70, of Peoria Heights passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria. He was born September 22, 1945 in Peoria to Bernard and Margaret Foley Schleich. He married Donna Hermann June 26, 1975; she survives. He is also survived by his brothers, John (Sharon Ann) Schleich of Peoria, Emmett (Connie) Schleich of West Peoria; sister, Marie (Mike) Godsill of Mapleton; nephew, Kevin Godsill; niece, Amy (Kevin) Capie; great-nephews, Adam Godsill, William Joseph “Liam” Capie; great-niece, Lauren Godsill and aunt, Lorraine Schleich of Texas. David was a bus driver for Citylink Mass Transit for many years. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Philomena Catholic Church for the building fund or masses and American Cancer Society in his name.
