Obituary for Delbert Deal
Delbert Ernest Deal, 83, of Kingston Mines passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born June 11, 1931 in Glasford to Ernest and Lorraine Bauer Deal. He married Marilyn Jean McCloud October 22, 1949 in Bartonville; she preceded him in death August 31, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Danny Deal and two grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Darrell Deal Sr. of Kingston Mines, David Deal of Glasford, Darren (Marge) Deal of Easton, Dana Deal of Lake Camelot, Donnie Deal of Glasford; daughter, Debra (James) Hemmer of Pekin; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Delbert was a Teamster for Local 627 retiring in 1990. He played and managed the baseball teams Sunday Morning League and Kickapoo Valley League. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Kingston Mines.
