Obituary for Denise Tipton
Denise Tipton, 48 of Peoria, IL passed away Sunday August 23, 2009 at OSF St. Frances Medical Center. She was born July 10, 1961 in Port Jefferson, NY to John and Geraldine (Shone) Calabrese. She married Henry Tipton on March 13, 1980 in Peoria. Surviving are her husband Henry “Hank” of Peoria, her mother Geraldine of Washington, two daughters; Angela of Missouri and Stephanie of Peoria, son; Henry Tipton Jr. of Peoria, two sisters; Lisa Calabrese of Washington and Susan Calabrese of Bayshore, NY, brother; John Calabrese III of Mastic Beach, NY. She was also survived by 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John. Denise grew up in Long Island, NY, before her parents moved their family to Peoria. She went to school at Woodrow High School. A memorial service will be held Thursday August 27 from 11am to 1pm at Grace Baptist Church, 405 Richard Pryor Ave., Peoria. Memorials may be made at CEFCU Bank in the name of Denise Tipton. A special thanks to Rev. Jeffrey Ivory, Rev. Jimmie Williams and family. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
