Obituary for Denise Tripp
Denise M. (Hacker) Tripp, 56 of Peoria died Saturday December 15, 2012 at Methodist Hospital. Born on July 2, 1956, she was the daughter of Orville (Bill) and Martha (Pat) Hacker, both deceased; step-mother Jean Hacker. She married Roy W. Tripp on October 8, 1994. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Allison Walker of Peoria, and Hilary (Kelly) Lynn of Bartonville and one son, Steve (Divina) Walker of Pekin; four stepdaughters, one preceded her in death, and two stepsons; four grandsons, Jake, Parker, Gavin and Brendan; one granddaughter, Zoey; nine step-grandchildren; 15 step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by five siblings, Keith (Gail) Hacker, Gary (Laura) Hacker, and Tracey Shortridge, all of Bartonville, and Dusty (Leslie) Hacker and Kim Petersen, both of Peoria; uncle Paker Hacker of Peoria Heights and aunt, Hazel Fearnley of Cardiff, S Wales; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a bus monitor at Laidlaw Bus Company for four years. She was an avid collector of many things but mostly memories. She was a simple person who spent her time on odd jobs and hobbies, however, dedicated the majority of her time to her family and friends. The time she took for herself was spent fishing, crafting and treasure-hunting. A wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, and a grandma to all, she will be loved and missed and remains a reminder to us all to slow down and breathe in life. There will be a Celebration of Life at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday the 22nd at 1 p.m. The Pastor Gary Geer will officiate. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or charity of your choice.
