Obituary for Dennis McNeese
Dennis W. McNeese, 68, of Chillicothe passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born March 11, 1947 in Nashville, TN to Woodrow and Goldie Trenary McNeese. He married Jayne Baker April 15, 1972 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wenona, she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Christopher McNeese of Chillicothe, Jeffrey McNeese of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Brookelyn McNeese of Chillicothe, Logan McNeese of Chillicothe; brother, Roger McNeese of Morton; sisters, Faye (Burt) Liesman of Chillicothe, Vera Whetstone of Metamora; seventeen nieces and nephews; fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews; one great-great-niece; aunt, Mary Hill of Wenona and sister-in-laws, Joni Westerhold of Bloomington and Sandra (David) Nauman of Magnolia. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Long and nephew, Michael Clift. Dennis served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Ivex for over 41 years 9 months before retiring in 2009. He enjoyed playing pool and racing cars. He was a member of the American Legion in Bloomington. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wenona at 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church. The burial will be held in St. Mary’s cemetery. There will be a luncheon following the services at the church.
