Obituary for Diana Blanch
Diana "Dee" Blanch, age 52, of East Peoria, IL left this world to walk with the Lord on April 20, 2016. Dee was born on June 12, 1963 to Stella and Robert Schroppel; they preceded her in death. On September 20, 1980 she married Ronald J. Blanch in East Peoria; he survives. Also surviving are their two daughters, Amy (Mark) Menees & Melissa (Daniel) Gonzalez. Dee has nine grandchildren to help carry on her memories, James, Liza, Joshua, Anthony, Alexander, Adrianna, Chayton, Bennito & Mateo. She has four sisters and one brother, Vickie (Robert) Emmer, Robert "Bob" Schroppel, Kathy (Norman) Wagley all of East Peoria, Cheryl (Heye Look) Johnson of Licking, MO and Teresa Ingle of Creve Coeur. Also holding memories in their hearts are her brother and sister in laws, Terry (Carol) Blanch, Kim (Diane) Blanch, Jeff (Debbie) Blanch, Jennifer Blanch all of East Peoria & Monica (Dave) Drake of Kerrville, TX. Her father in law, Bud Blanch is also surviving along with 82 nieces and nephews. Dee was also preceded in death by her mother in law, Shelby J. Blanch; three brother in laws, Calvin Johnson, Kenneth Blanch & Scott Ingle, and two nephews, Michael Barnewolt and Ashton Wells. Dee loved being anywhere her family was. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and Friday night dinners with lots of food, singing, dancing, laughing and playing games. Dee always had a smile on her face and kind words to say to make everyone feel better on a bad day. She worked for the East Peoria Public School Transportation as a bus monitor from 1997-1999. She loved her job and the people she worked with. Dee was an assistant Girl Scout Leader for District 86 from 1987-1997. One of her passions was teaching young girls how to be amazing young women. She loved the camping trips and teaching the girls about outdoor life along with many other things. She was also a volunteer at Lincoln grade school in East Peoria. Dee loved playing bingo, fishing & mushroom hunting with her husband. Dee always had an enormous heart and willing to help anyone in need. This tiny woman with a heart of gold will truly be missed. On April 30, 2016 there will be a celebration of life at 215 Clark Street in East Peoria at 4pm.
