Obituary for Donald Krisher
Donald K. Krisher, 73, of Glasford passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Timbercreek Rehab and Healthcare in Pekin. He was born April 6, 1940 in Peoria to Clyde and Mary Leipnick Krisher. He married Dixie Porter September 6, 1974 in Peoria. She survives along with his sons, Larry of Champaign, David (Renee) of Lebanon, MO, Dwight (Tiffany) of Peoria, Mark of Peoria; grandchildren, Dylan of Lebanon, MO, Cody of Peoria; sister, Diane Koch of Rome and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kenneth and Clyde. Donald served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Wahlfeld Manufacturing in Peoria for 30 years later working for Monroe School in Bartonville retiring in 2009. He was a life member of VFW 8662 in Peoria, NRA, American Legion Glasford Post 35 and Hanna City Sportsman’s Club. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. Memorials may be made to Peoria County Search & Rescue or Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in his name.
