Obituary for Donald Snow
Donald Lee Snow, 85, of Marquette Heights passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born April 22, 1930 in Woodlawn to Harvey and Grace Piper Snow. He married Betty Burgett October 31, 1949 in Kentucky. She preceded him in death in 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents; adoped daughter, Judy; infant granddaughter, Nicole and sisters, Irene, Pauline and Mary. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Marc) VanEtten of Marquette Heights, Dawn Tribble of Pekin, Melody (Richard) Little of Marquette Heights; grandchildren, Rique VanEtten, Angela VanEtten, Jennifer VanEtten, Jesse Tribble, Devin Tribble, Mary Connor; great-grandchildren, Gavin Little, Jaxston Tribble;Â and brother, Harold Dycus of Florida. Donald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Caterpillar for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed to travel and was a huge St. Louis Cardinal Fan. Cremation has been accorded and a private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home or American Diabetes Association in his name.
