Obituary for Donna Louise Wiles
Donna Louise Wiles, 78, of Peoria died Wednesday July 15, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 19, 1937 in Peoria to John R. and Arabelle F. Cannon Engle. She married Larry E. Wiles December 5, 1956 in MS. Larry preceded her in death on October 31, 2004 in Peoria, along with 2 great grandchildren, three brothers and one sister. Donna is survived by her five children: Jody, Troy, Alan (Mary) of Peoria, Lorene (Jeff La See) Wiles of East Peoria, and Val (life partner Karen Kinner) Wiles of MO; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her “ornery” cat Max, three sisters; Sharon Smith of Danville, Phyllis Jones of Peoria, Joanne Bratton of East Peoria, two brothers Mike Engle of WA and Dennis (Sue) Engle of Peoria Heights. She was a stay at home Mom until her children were teens, when she went to work at Bradley University until the early 80’s, when she retired because of health issues. Her hobbies were crocheting, quilting and flower gardening. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Cremation has been accorded. She was a member of New Apostolic Church in Peoria were a Memorial service will be held on Saturday July 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice or her church
