Obituary for Doris Krahn
Ione "Doris" Krahn, 82, of Chillicothe passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Proctor in Peoria. She was born March 28, 1931 in Moline to Clarence H. and Hilma Sall Larson. She married Clarence “Bud” Krahn June 10, 1950 in Kewanee. He preceded her in death January 18, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Larry L. Larson, Ray Thurwanger and grandson, Alan V. Pearson, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Tom) Geltmaker of Chillicothe, Pam (Tracey) Baker of Bradford, Julie (Barry) Homes of Oregon, WI; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Lewis C. (Donna) Larson of Galva; sister, Marlo Morrison of Kewanee and her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Buffy. Doris enjoyed time with her family and will be missed by all her daycare children. She was a huge Elvis fan. Cremation has been accorded and private family graveside services will be held. Memorials may be made to the ARK in Lacon in her name.
