Obituary for Duane Deweese
Duane L. “Ipp” Deweese, 65, of San Jose passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born December 18, 1947 in Delavan to Jesse and Ruby Slack Deweese. He married Beverly Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. He is survived by his children, Samantha Hankins of Delavan, Connie Deweese of Delavan, Ryan (Heather) Deweese of San Jose; grandchildren, Gaten, Gage, Devon, Aiden; brothers, Gary (Sharon) Deweese of Delavan, Keith (Melody) Deweese of Kilbourne; several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Duane served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne from 1968 to 1970. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 627 and worked as a mechanic for the service station in Delavan for many years. He enjoyed watching racing. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved them very much. Cremation has been accorded and a military rites service will be held at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2 p.m. with private burial to be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to his family to be used for his grandchildren.
