Obituary for E. Marie Dixon
E. Marie Dixon, 70, of Pekin passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Pekin.
She was born November 19, 1950 in Newport, TN to Sam and Bonnie Butler Dixon. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack Dixon, Jimmie Dixon, Tom Dixon and niece, Makayla Ashby.
She is survived by her lifelong friend and sister in Christ, Patty Heflin; sisters, Jennifer (Paulita Medina) Dixon, Patricia Dixon and nieces, Lindsey (Cody) Comstock, Mira Medina-Dixon, Shiloh Green, Stormi Green, Melody Genusa and Cort Dixon.
Marie graduated from Pekin Community High School and ICC. She worked as a Health Care Administrator for CWTC and worked with adults with disabilities for many years. She was a member of Town & Country Baptist Church in Pekin.
Marie loved her family dearly and she will be greatly missed. She enjoyed watching sports.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Abts Mortuary with burial following at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
