Obituary for Earl Stanley Wolfe Sr.
Earl Stanley Wolfe Sr. 80, of Pekin passed away on Tuesday April 22, 2008 at Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy. Born in Pekin on Aug 10, 1927 to Earl “Stan” and Edith Hohimer Wolfe. He married Shirley Owens in Las Vegas on Oct 20, 1988, she survives along with his son Earl Wolfe Jr., daughter Earlene Wolfe of Pekin, brothers Larry Wolfe and James Wolfe of Peoria, sister Darlene Timbrook of Pekin, step children; Sharon Darnell of Virginia, Ronald Darnell of Maryland, Thomas Byrns of Bloomington, Carol Rhodes of Peoria, Marsha Heaver of Pekin, 3 grand, 2 great grandchildren, 4 step grand, 2 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 2 brothers and 1 sister preceded him in death. Earl served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and worked as a Boiler Maker, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Eagles, VFW, Moose Lodge, Boiler Makers # 60 and attended the Nazarene Church. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Dreams at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin at 1 p.m. on Monday April 28, with inurnment to follow. In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
