Obituary for Earlene P. Martens
Earlene P. Martens, 88, of Pekin, IL passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at Pekin Manor.
She was born April 2, 1936, in Peoria, IL to Earl and Margaret Peplow Everett.
She married Raymond F. Martens on June 4, 1960, in Peoria, IL; he preceded her in death January 29, 2023. Her parents; brothers, Thomas Everett, Jack Everett, Marvin Everett, Bill Everett and sisters, Shirley Maston, Phyllis Vieria and Mary K. Powers also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Rene (Mark) Silotto, Michael R. (Christine) Martens; grandchildren, Christopher (Cathy) Silotto, Allison Martens, Derek Martens; great-grandchildren, Morghan Silotto, Carlee Silotto; brother, Robert (Nancy) Everett and sisters, Betty (Robert) Bohm and Valorie Everett.
Earlene worked for Fleming Potter Co., retiring in 1992.
She graduated from the Academy of Our Lady. Earlene was a Cantor and devoted Adult Choir and Resurrection Choir member in her church for many years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, IL where a funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, IL.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in her name.
