Obituary for Edgar L. Davis
Edgar L. Davis, 76, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born May 11, 1944 in Elkhorn Township, IL to Orville and Edith Hamm Davis.
He married Teresa M. Dickson February 3, 1990 in Groveland, IL; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Shari Hinricksen, Shawna McCue, Chad Davis, Rodney Davis, Jennifer Smith, April Benson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and siblings, Archie Davis, Lee Davis, Diane Sieventhal and Dorothy Rentmeister.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Taylor and brother, Randy Davis.
Edgar served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Painters Union Local 157 retiring in 2012.
He graduated from Manuel High School and was a member of AMVETS. He loved his family, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid pool player and a motorcycle enthusiast. Edgar was quick witted and a great storyteller. He was loved by all. “He was our Rock” and he will be greatly missed.
Cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held.
