Obituary for Edith Delmastro
Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church, Edith E. Delmastro died peacefully Thursday, January 25, 2018. She was born on March 7, 1924 to Lazzero and Maria Dolchetti Simoncini. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Delmastro, her sister, Enis Reed, and her brothers, Joseph Simoncini and Anthony Simoncini. She is survived by her husband, Albino F. Delmastro, and her children: John (Tricia) Delmastro, Mary Freeman, Dee Shaub, David (Peggy) Delmastro, Chris (Jerry) Wasion, Gina Delmastro (Alex Smith), Marti (Ken) Kucginski, Joseph (Tamatha) Delmastro, Theresa Giles, Lauri Hines, Rose Putnam, Teddi (Dan) Slabaugh, and Elizabeth (Robin) Gorrell; 41 Grandchildren, and 27 Great-Grandchildren. Her love for Our Lord Jesus Christ and devotion to His Blessed Mother were the driving force for her life of unconditional love. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, from 5-7 pm with a Rosary at 4 pm at Abts Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 31 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate.
