Obituary for Elzie Butch Miller
Elzie “Butch” L. Miller, 71, of Peoria, IL passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born July 25, 1943 in Bryant, IL to Leonard and Laverta Deater Miller. He married Debbie Pence December 25, 2005 in Peoria, IL. She survives along with his children, Jeanette Day of Pennsylvania, Fred Miller of Peoria, IL, Herbie Miller of Peoria, IL, Vikki Miller of Mackinaw, IL, Sherry Blackmore of East Peoria, IL; step-daughter, Meagan Higgins of Peoria, IL; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister and his beloved dogs, Sweetie, Emma and Honey. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Butch worked for Caterpillar and owned Miller Handyman and Snow Removal Services. He loved fishing, woodworking, cooking and having cook outs with family and friends. He raised many beautiful hostas. Cremation has been accorded and a pot luck will be held Monday, January 12, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the VFW 1505 E. Lake Ave. Peoria Heights, IL. Memorials may be made to Illinois Lung or PAWS in his name.
