Evelyn E. Anthony, 87, of Peoria, IL passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Manor Court in Peoria, IL with her husband by her side. She was born June 21, 1925 in
Macomb, IL to Floyd and Ellen Burg Burkhart. She married Arvid Anthony April 23, 1944. He survives along with her daughter, Joyce (Gordon) Wassell of Harshaw, WI; granddaughter, Lindsey (Dustin) Birkel of Edwards, IL and great-grandson, Lucas Birkel. She was preceded in death by her parents. Evelyn was a realtor for Jenn Realty, now Traders after retiring from real estate she worked at the Peoria Journal Star in the office and later enjoyed her job as a tour guide. Evelyn and her husband volunteered at Wild Life Prairie Park for many years. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Peoria where a memorial service will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10 a.m. Cremation has been accorded. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Harbor Light Hospice or the church in her name.
