Obituary for Gayle Mullens
Gayle M. Mullens, 74, of Hanna City, IL passed away Friday December 2, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born January 26, 1937 in Virginia, IL to Orval and Thelma Hickey Mullens. He married Patricia Giddings in Peoria on July 26, 1972. She survives along with his sisters, Elta West and Lyla Riegel and brother Charles Mullens. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. Gayle served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Union Carpenter for 45 years. He was a kind and loving person who was loved by many. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to General Wayne Downing Veterans Home 403 S. Olive Street, Peoria, IL 61605 or Friendship House Food Kitchen 800 NE Madison Ave, Peoria, IL 61603 in his name.
