Obituary for Gene Harrison
Gene Harrison, 69, of Peoria, IL passed away Wednesday November 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 14, 1943 in Peoria, IL to Wilbur and Frances Virgin Schoonover. He married Catherine Krepel February 24, 1983 in Peoria, IL. She survives along with his daughter, Melissa (Chason) Hoyle of Pekin, IL; grandson, Trevor Hoyle; granddaughter, Mackenzie Hoyle; siblings, John (Jan) Harrison of Arkansas, Doug Harrison of Peoria, IL, Donna Harrison of Peoria, IL, Brad (Thuy) Harrison of Vietnam and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gene served in the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sergeant retiring September 1, 1981 after 20 years of service. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday November 24, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Stoney Creek Inn 101 Mariners Way, East Peoria, IL 61611. Pastor Chuck Wilcox will officiate. A late luncheon will follow the service.
