Obituary for George Allen Birkmeier
George Allen Birkmeier, 67, of Pekin, IL passed away on February 14th in Rochester, MN.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday February 25th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Pekin IL. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Abts Mortuary.
George was born in Pekin to George H. and Dorothy (Boyer) Birkmeier on October 28th, 1949. He went to high school at Spalding Academy (’67). He graduated from Bradley University (’77). He held various positions at Caterpillar with the most recent being an IT Business Analyst, before retiring after more than 35 years.
George is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, father George and brother Leslie.
George is survived by his four sons and their mother Nancy Dial, sons Nathan Birkmeier (Jenny), Eric Birkmeier (Melissa), Trevor Birkmeier (Valerie), and Tyler Birkmeier (Darcy), sister Joyce Sullivan, and grandchildren Gabe, Hunter, Sophia, Olivia, Miles, Bianca, Henry, and Cayden.
